History

Fundación Casa Alianza México is part of a movement that began in 1969 in New York under the name Covenant House, an organization that came from the initiative of Bruce Ritter, a Franciscan priest and professor of Manhattan University, to protect children that lived in the streets. Inspired by Covenant House philosophy, Casa Alianza México was founded in 1988 by Luis Creel, in response to the need for an institution that could look after homeless children of Mexico City, and those who have fallen victims to abuse and any other type of violence.

Casa Alianza is an open doors institution that works to help boys, girls and teenagers between 12 and 18 years old that have been abandoned or have left their houses to live in the street, becoming vulnerable to risks like sexual or labor exploitation and addictions. The staff caring for Casa Alianza's children are qualified personnel that carry their work out according to the philosophy and method of this institution. The final goal is to give these children the opportunity to build a functional and plentiful life.
